Sauteed Mushrooms

These mushrooms are the quintessential topping for all types of steak. Also excellent over baked potatoes. I have people calling me and asking me for the recipe even years after I have made them for them. They are actually that good!!

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Total time: 25 minutes
Servings: 4 people
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients
3 tablespoons of olive oil
3 tablespoons of butter
500grams of Sliced button mushrooms.
1 clove garlic, (thin slices)
1 table spoon of red wine.
1 tablespoon of teriyaki sauce/soy sauce or more to taste
1/4 teaspoon of garlic salt/table salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper to taste
Directions
Heat olive oil and butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Cook and stir the mushrooms, garlic, cooking wine, teriyaki sauce, garlic salt and black pepper in the hot oil and butter until mushrooms are lightly browned for about 5 minutes.
Reduce heat to low and simmer until mushrooms are tender, 5 to 8 minutes.
